Rest Up And Ready to Go

We are all rest up and ready to go after our long travel from Tampa to Lima and finally to Chiclayo, Peru. Everyone seems to be in great spirit. I guess we will find out how energize we really are whenever Andy gets down stairs for lunch.

Thank you Lord for our safe trip to Chiclayo. Unfortunately, our bag did not make it to Peru. We are anxious and hopefully that we will receive it within 5 days. We are blessed and are ready to meet the children.

We just want to let you know that we are thinking of all of you and praying for you, your families and the lives you are about to touch.

Glad to hear that everyone made it down there safely (hopefully the missing bags will follow suit!)

well... we have heard rumor that the missing bag may have been found.... no details yet, but the hotel had a message saying that the airline called about the bag. Trust me, the Powells need their bag...

Piura Information

Introduction to Piura:

Piura is a city in northwestern Peru. It is the capital of the Piura Region and the Piura Province.

The population is approximately 400,000.

It was here that Spanish Conqueror Francisco Pizarro founded the first Spanish city in South America, San Miguel de Piura, in 1532, thus earning the modern day city its Peruvian nickname: "La Primera Ciudad"- meaning: the first city.
