Traveling Man

We spent Saturday on three planes and hold up in multiple airport terminals but we finally made it to Chiclayo, Peru with most (but not all) of our luggage. All of the equipment and supplies made it but Wardell, Novene, and Andy are missing bags. I can loan Andy a shirt but Novene with out her wardrobe is a fashion disaster waiting to happen. Hopefully the bags will be here today. Here is a picture of the team killing six hours in the Lima terminal.

Piura Information

Introduction to Piura:

Piura is a city in northwestern Peru. It is the capital of the Piura Region and the Piura Province.

The population is approximately 400,000.

It was here that Spanish Conqueror Francisco Pizarro founded the first Spanish city in South America, San Miguel de Piura, in 1532, thus earning the modern day city its Peruvian nickname: "La Primera Ciudad"- meaning: the first city.
